Liliana grew up an only child with traditional Italian values. She lost her mother to cancer at a young age. Her father, who owned a low profile Italian restaurant where mobsters held their meetings, protected his only daughter from his Mafioso life. She received all of her education from the most reputable catholic girl school.

After graduating high school, she begged her father for a job at his restaurant in order to earn her own money over the summer before college. After a week of pestering, begging and guilt trips… her father reluctantly agreed to let her work as a waitress, but only part-time during the day. She was more than excited. Anxious to be prepared and impress her father, she decided to drop by the restaurant the night before to pick up her uniform and grab a menu to memorize.

She arrived and entered through the back door into the kitchen. She walked up to the cabinet where the uniforms were and looked though them until she found one her size. Holding it against herself, she smiled widely before folding it up. After searching the kitchen for a menu and finding nothing. It occurred to her that the menus were probably at the hostess station. She pushed the door open that lead to the main room, pausing when she heard voices. Peeking out she saw her father along with a few of Yakavetta’s men having a drink and taking ‘business’. She couldn’t believe the things she was hearing. I mean, she was aware of what her father was a part of, she just always thought it was best to not ask questions.

Suddenly, two men break through the front doors with masks and machine guns. Fortunately, her people saw them coming and quickly ducked behind tables that were designed to resist bullets for situations just like this one. During the heavy gunfire she dropped low, crawled out of the kitchen and behind the bar in the dimly lit main room. Her people found it difficult to return fire against the automatic gunfire. Looking up underneath the bar, Liliana noticed there was a fully loaded shotgun that the barkeep kept for emergencies. Without a thinking she grabbed the shotgun, rose up quickly aiming high, wanting to shoot a distraction shot to divert the intruders attention and giving her family a fighting chance.

As came up from behind the bar she saw that the men were standing right on the other side of the bar only 3 feet in front of her, startled, she fired, hitting both men in the sides of their heads killing them instantly. She stared at the dead men until her father ran up to her, wiping the blood and etcetera off of her face. Calling her name and getting no reaction, her father shook her until she looked at him. All she could do was put on a half smile and act proud to have ‘saved’ them. She didn’t want to embarrass her father by acting like a ‘little girl’ about it.

She never revealed that it was a total accident. Instead, word spread among the crime family that the catholic school girl had a ‘promising’ future within the family after being credited with saving the lives of some of Yakavetta’s men. The idea of having a future as a mafiosa was quite appealing after her sheltered life that suddenly seemed dull to her.

From that point on, she had taken on some small tasks, moving onto bodyguard type jobs. She became addicted to the fear she instilled in others. It made hear feel powerful and in control. Doing everything carefully, keeping a low profile and clean record made working for Papa Joe beneficial to everyone involved because no one suspected the good little catholic girl of any wrong doing. Though the years of dirty work darkened her personality.. she often uses the innocence she once had to lure anyone into a false sense of security. She’ll do almost anything to raise her status among the family.
